Why did you start the Traineeship?
After being in Sales based positions for the majority of my professional life, I was looking for a change of career and working environment. I’ve always had an interest in Tech and it seemed like a great opportunity to get the right qualifications to start a new career. This course really appealed to me as it was geared towards finding a role at the end of the traineeship so I felt supported in making such a huge change to my career and life.
What did you enjoy most about the Traineeship?
I really enjoyed learning new skills, from how to build and configure systems through to setting up and securing Networks. It was all completely new for me and I really enjoyed the challenge.
What's your current role like?
My role is very interesting and challenging. As a 1st line Engineer with Chess ICT, I’ve been developing my support skills, learning about SQL scripting and improving my knowledge of the application that I’ll be working with. I’ve joined a fantastic company who are keen to support my development and have a clear career path set out for me.
