Why did you start the Traineeship?
I started the Traineeship in July 2024, as I wanted to get a pathway into a Cyber security role, with a job guarantee as well, this aspect was important to me. I was drawn to T Career Switch due to their reputation as a respected and trusted provider of quality training, and a proven track record of candidates gaining real jobs in the IT industry and then progressing into Cyber security roles. The level of training was another part of the whole package which was an important factor to me. The Traineeship offered a good combination of theory and hands-on practical real-world experience with Live equipment.
What did you enjoy most about the Traineeship?
I liked working through the training courses which offered wide coverage, professional vendors, CompTIA, Microsoft and Cisco. Watching the cyber security videos was enjoyable, watching live attack demos etc, given by experts, as it gave me good insight into commercial-level practice, and ideas to do further testing and development. The offer of a permanent role was the cherry on top and the reward for hard work.
What's your current role like?
I am performing Technical\Customer Service Support on a market-leading comprehensive healthcare product, which includes remote support, inbound and outbound calls, web chat etc. Using ServiceNow as a ticketing tool. It is relatively early days, but it seems a good amount of variety and scope to the role.
