Why did you start the Traineeship?
I was looking for a career change. Between my interest in the field, the long term stability of the industry in unstable times and the feeling of satisfaction I get from helping people out moving into the IT sphere was the obvious choice for me. I looked into various options and IT Career Switch seemed to offer the best value and opportunity.
What did you enjoy most about the Traineeship?
The course was really interesting. I enjoyed learning new things and building on what I had already picked up. I was surprised by how much was familiar! The videos were really clear and the tests after each module helped me to consolidate what I had learned.
What's your current role like?
I am currently working in a 1st line IT Support role split between phone and field based. Working for an IT Support agency I am getting loads of experience across a wide range of software and setups. Over the next year I will be moving into 1st/2nd line support with a focus on IT security. I’m really enjoying the role.
