Why did you start the Traineeship?
I’ve always wanted to get involved in IT and eventually found myself stuck in my former role doing something I gradually disliked. I decided it was time to change, to something that I would find myself doing in the long-term with more scope and options for progression. Most IT jobs out there require degree experience and without having any formal IT qualifications, I decided to enrol on this traineeship.
What did you enjoy most about the Traineeship?
The Live Labs were a great way of putting the theory to practical use in a virtual environment, without any worry of breaking anything. I also enjoyed the flexibility with the course as it’s mostly self-led, so it’s down to you on how fast you want to complete the training package.
What's your current role like?
My current job role as a Service Desk Analyst is quite challenging and also rewarding. I provide first line support to the retail & hospitality sector using the skills & knowledge I have gained from IT Career Switch. I am more than happy with the results after completing the traineeship and look forward to my future career in the IT industry.
