Why did you start the Traineeship?
I’ve always wanted to be involved in IT but confidence and life took me in other directions.
My previous industry was changing but it forced me to re-evaluate my career options. So I took the plunge and made the change.

What did you enjoy most about the Traineeship?
The learning. It was done in a manner that allowed me to balance study time and family time. I don’t consider myself a “fast” learner so I was given ample time to study without the worry of strict time limits.
What's your current role like?
I was worried about being flung into the deep end and being in a potentially stressful situation while trying to learn on top of things, it is probably the best way to learn but I wanted to do well for my employer and not have a rocky start. However, my employer has been nothing short of amazing and very supportive, mainly due to the helpful staff and training structure. Everything relayed to me has been genuine. I don’t feel like just a number and they seem to generally invest and trust their staff.
